Introduction
I studied Biomedical Sciences in Leiden and have been trained as an epidemiologist. I obtained my PhD at Leiden University (NL) in the field of prevention of neural tube defects by using folic acid. Until 2016, I worked at TNO Prevention and Health where I was team coordinator for research in the field of pregnancy and birth. At the LUMC I am head of the section Advanced Data Management (ADM) which is part of the department Biomedical Datasciences. ADM focuses on the implementation of data stewardship (good data handling in all phases of research) in the LUMC.
